Star VTS: Empowering Fleet Owners with Much More than Just Vehicle Tracking

CIO Vendor New technologies are bringing transparency and efficiency to different industry segments. One sector in particular which is witnessing unprecedented transformation in this regard is vehicle tracking. With the advent of new technologies, tracking of vehicles is being redefined. Reports suggest that the global vehicle tracking systems market size will become worth USD 14,957.5 million by 2025, growing at a CAGR of more than 19 percent. The major factor driving this growth is the rise in adoption of intelligent transport systems. However, safety and security of vehicles have been a thorn in the fleet owners’ sides. There are very few companies that are using Indian devices, Indian servers and are fully secured with SSL security. The car decor solution providers are offering cheap tracking devices with life time free tracking, which do not have any privacy or safety, and nor do they have any features. Also, the customer in most cases is not aware of the kind of threat it poses to his privacy and security.

Star VTS is addressing this challenge faced by fleet owners by providing them with an in-house built vehicle tracking system that is made up of certified devices, works on Indian server and is compliant with all the regulations. The solution is not just a tracking system, rather it is equipped with the ability to monitor all aspects related to the vehicle and its movement and keeps the fleet owner informed. It sends alerts for vehicle theft, entry and exit from a client’s location, insurance renewal, tyre change, servicing due and much more. It also provides information about tolls and the fuel prices across the country on its dashboard.

Ensuring security and safety
“We are trying to spread awareness through a video about the functioning of the Chinese server and how the privacy is at threat and we are showing
what type of security and safety we are providing, how we are using an Indian server, and have the necessary certifications done,” says Aniket Shah, Managing Director, Star VTS. Under the mentorship of Raj Kumar Shah, Director and Chanchal Shah, Director, Aniket Shah has devised innovative solutions for this segment. He has developed an Asset Tracker which is RFID based GPS tracking system, capable of sending alerts in case of any tampering with the shipment.

“We are not just providing GPS tracking but complete fleet management solution. So, the customer does not need to keep track of anything with regard to their fleet. We inform the customer about everything. Most of the tracking solutions available in the market are run-of-the-mill solutions while ours is a hybrid application,” adds Aniket.
